Review by hotel critic
The Uptown in Brussels offers a practical location near Place Rogier and Brussels Nord station, making it convenient for those on business or exploring the city. As a frequent traveler, I've evaluated several hotels in the area, and Uptown provides a mixed bag of value. The rooms, while spacious, feel dated and could benefit from modern refurbishments. I noticed issues like inadequate electrical sockets and basic bathroom amenities. The flat-screen TV and air conditioning ensured a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was efficient, and the 24-hour reception offered decent assistance when needed. The fitness center is a solid perk, with an indoor pool and sauna, catering to guests seeking relaxation after a long day. While breakfast in the hotel may not provide the best value - I opted for nearby cafes - the complimentary Wi-Fi and room service are appreciated.
